Lincoln Aviator: Body Closures / Removal and Installation - Hands-Free Liftgate Actuation Module

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the rear bumper cover.
    Refer to: Rear Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).
  1. Disconnect the hands-free liftgate actuation module electrical connectors.
  1. Remove the following items:
    1. Remove the bolt.
      Torque: 19 lb.in (2.2 Nm)
    2. Remove the hands-free liftgate actuation module.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
