Inspect the camshaft lobes for pitting or damage in the
active area. Minor pitting is acceptable outside the active area. The
active area includes the opening ramp and closing ramp. The opening ramp
is the point where the lifter just begins to lift until the point it
reaches the nose of the lobe. The closing ramp is the point from the
nose back down to the lash point. The base circle of the camshaft is not
the active area.

The crankshaft connecting rod journals must be
within specifications to check the connecting rod bearing journal
clearance...

Do not use excessive force when removing retainers, to avoid damage to moulding.
Using a non-marring trim tool, disengage the moulding retainers attaching the moulding to the door...

The vehicle should not be driven if the transmission fluid level is low. Internal failure could result.
NOTE:
If the vehicle has been operated for an extended period at
high highway speeds, in city traffic, during hot weather or while
pulling a trailer, the transmission fluid must cool down to obtain an
accurate reading...
